With Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) being one of main features of the Edify Contact Center Suite, the ability to test and demonstrate CTI functionality becomes crucial to the development of robust CTI applications. The CTSim Switch Simulator was built with the goal of simplifying such testing and removing the need for expensive hardware for basic testing.

The Role of Axis

The real challenge for Axis was to develop the switch simulator without possessing a real switch. This required an in-depth study of EPABX communication protocols and analysis of communication traces provided by Edify.

Axis' developers successfully accomplished this task and succeeded in designing the simulator in such a way that the core functionalities can be reused for development of different switch simulators

Project Details

Axis handled all aspects of this project starting from requirement specification through design, development and testing. The software has been deployed by Edify employees and is actively used for both testing and marketing demonstrations.
